I've been keeping jonah home from school so we can spend some QT together this week. He is so much fun to be with! Yesterday we went to Preschool Playtime at the rec center and he had a ball. they pull out every scooter, car, ball, mat, slide, play thing they have in a big open gym and let the children go nuts. Jonah loved it. Then we stopped at Aunt Amanda's to have a little lunch before nap time. She was having a Chez Ami open house....such cute things and she loaded my car with frozen meals for the coming weeks - THANK YOU! mmmm....we can't wait to enjoy them! After his nap, we washed his radio flyer coupe on the deck and then headed to the Tate's for a bit to play with Joe and Abby. It was a great day and I look forward to the coming months to enjoy more time with Jonah and his new sister! I am one blessed girl!

26 1/2 hours and counting...
So, I can't sleep. I've been flipping from side to side for hours and finally decided that I had enough. I go in tomorrow morning at 8 am to be induced....so many questions, how is it going to happen, how long will everything take, what does this sweet little girl look like, what is my jonah going to think of it all, am I ready? ahhh! I know everything will be wonderful and I trust that God has a plan for tomorrow just as he does for every thing else, I just need to remind myself of that. ;-)

weekend report
Baby Girl update: I'm 37 weeks, 3.5 cm dialated and 90% effaced and just waiting (not so patiently lately either). It's become quite clear to me that when one's OB says, "you'll likely not make it through another week..." that what she really means is, "I really don't have any idea how soon your labor will begin, I just like getting your hopes up." UGH! I've been waking up pretty close to hourly each night and then by 4am, I give up on bed all together and start cleaning the kitchen cabinets and scrubbing the floors. I had forgotten about this stage of the process...there's such anticipation and anxiety...was that a contraction? wasn't it? Do I start timing that or is it too soon? if she's not going to come out today, couldn't she float up a bit? how fast will everything take place? Between work, bella, jonah, doug and the day to day stuff, I should have enough on my plate to keep these questions from occupying my every thought but, this baby girl has a way of being top of mind each moment. Come on out now, I'm soooo ready to meet you!!!

Jonah Update:
(this is what your son looks like when you pick him up from day care after he sat in his lunch and his mommy forgot to replace his "emergency" pair of pants. I'm just glad he had his boots on!)
(keeping his sister's bassinet nice and warm for her...)
(icing his own Valentine's Day cupcake...he's getting so handy around the kitchen)

Winter in Worthington
The last week of January brought with it lots fun winter activities....Jonah and I even got to stay home one day due to a snow and ice storm!
(making playdough....jonah's learned to say "Cheese" when the camera comes out!)
(he looks like he's 5 years old!)
(i think that smile came from taking a bite of the salty playdough...mmm, mmm good)
(doug helps jonah build his very first snow man)
(posing for the camera with the finished product)
(mmm, the snowman's nose tastes better than it looked on his face apparently)
(taking a break from walking in the snow)
(I think Olivia needs to brush up on her babysitting skills....looks like the little ones put on some makeup with the markers)
(at least jonah chose a nice shade of red for his lips ;-)
